01 / The game
Progress kept on your device.
Aggressively Scrappily is a single-player game whose gameplay runs on your device with local save files. The current game has no player accounts, chat, advertising, in-app purchases or cloud-save feature. Apple's startup age-assurance check is described below.
The game stores run saves, upgrades, scores, run count and preferences on your device. Preferences include sound, music, haptics, reduced motion and cart formation.
Your Workshop and Field Guide records include collection progress, equipped cosmetics, a pinned goal, survival records, victories and machines seen or defeated. A randomly generated local profile identifier connects your saved run with that progress and helps prevent duplicate progress credit. It is not an online account or a hardware identifier.
02 / Saves & recovery
Starting fresh is not full erasure.
Local progress and preferences remain available between runs. The game can also keep recovery copies, preserved previous runs and backups created when updating or recovering save files. Starting New Parade replaces the active run while keeping collection progress and preferences; copies of the previous run may remain.
After a run ends, the game normally removes the active run and immediate recovery copy once collection progress is saved. If that save fails, it keeps the existing recovery files and offers a retry. Closing before a successful save can lose changes that have not yet been saved. Other preserved runs and collection backups may remain.
The game has no full-data deletion control. I cannot directly access or erase the game's files on your device. To remove its device data, use Apple's Delete App option; Offload App keeps documents and data. Device, iCloud or computer backups may retain copies and restore them later. Manage those separately using Apple's storage guidance and iCloud backup controls.
03 / Platform services
Unity and Apple have different roles.
The game is built with Unity. Unity Engine Diagnostics and the game's configured Unity analytics, crash-reporting and performance-reporting services are disabled. The game does not integrate an advertising service or a separate third-party analytics service.
Apple age assurance
On supported iOS versions, the game uses Apple's system age-assurance features at startup to check whether age-related requirements apply and, when applicable, request an age-range response through Apple's interface. Available checks and sharing choices depend on the iOS version and Apple's account or regional signals. Required checks that cannot finish show a Retry screen; older systems use the available compatibility path.
The age-range response is handled temporarily on your device in the game's native iOS code. The game does not save it to game files or preferences, include it in game logs, or send it to the developer or an analytics service. The game receives only a coarse completion or error status in its Unity code. It does not ask you to enter a birth date or identity document. Apple manages its system interface and related processing, including system-managed caching. See Apple's age-assurance information.
Apple's distribution, backup and diagnostic services operate separately. Depending on your choices and Apple's services, Apple may collect app analytics or diagnostic information and share reports with developers. Read Apple's App Analytics & Privacy notice and analytics sharing controls.
Opening a website or sending an email from the game uses your browser or email service. The website and support practices below apply to those interactions.
04 / A note to the workshop
Information you choose to send.
If you email eric@erichubbard.net, I receive your email address, message and any attachments or technical details you include. I use them to answer your request, troubleshoot issues and understand your feedback. Please send only information relevant to your request.
The support mailbox uses Microsoft 365/Outlook through GoDaddy. Those providers handle email delivery and storage under their respective Microsoft privacy statement and GoDaddy privacy notice.
I keep support messages only as long as needed for those purposes. You can request deletion by emailing the same address. I will delete the message from the active support mailbox on request, subject to records that must be retained. Email providers may retain recoverable or backup copies under their own retention processes.
05 / Visiting this website
Website services are separate.
This website uses Cloudflare Pages for hosting, delivery and security. Requests provide Cloudflare with technical information such as your IP address, requested page and other traffic information so it can deliver and protect the site. Cloudflare's retention of service data depends on the service, processing purpose and applicable obligations; see its privacy policy.
Cloudflare Web Analytics is currently disabled for this website. Cloudflare's security features may still use cookies when a challenge or bot-protection check is needed. See its cookie documentation. Website services are separate from the game's local data handling.
Cloudflare also supplies network-error reporting instructions that supported browsers can use to report connection failures to Cloudflare. See its network-error logging documentation.
The atmosphere toggle stores your motion preference in browser session storage for the current tab/session. Website services and this preference are separate from the game's local save files.
06 / Keeping this clear
